NBA veteran referee, Tim Donaghy, is under investigation for betting on games in which he refereed. With years of concerns about the NBA being "fixed", the betting public now can confirm that their suspicions are a reality.
Tim Donaghy is under investigation for games during the 2005-2006 and 2006-2007 seasons. Tim Donaghy is being accused of making specific calls during the game to influence the outcome of the final score. He would also cash in with the wagers that he placed.
This is the last thing that the NBA needed. With diminishing T.V. ratings and attendance sliding more and more every year, the NBA might once again be set back for the next several years over this.
