Going into Week 10 of the NCAA football season, all eyes are on the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets as they as take on the Virginia Tech Hokies. The rest of this weekend is going to contain some interesting matchups that have most bettors breathless with anticipation to see the results. We’ve got the picks and analysis for the best ones that are almost guaranteed to turn a profit for the smart bettor.
Georgia Tech Vs. Virginia Tech
Thursday, November 4 - 7:30 PM
In this game, the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets enter a must win scenario against the 20th ranked Virginia Tech Hokies. Currently, the Yellow Jackets’ odds are resting at 12-13.5 point underdogs. The team has become well known for its formidable offense, and they are currently ranked as the first in the nation in terms of rushing yards. On the other hand, they are only ranked 75th against the run. Virginia Tech’s secret weapon lies in their quarterback, Tyrod Taylor, who is ranked 16th in rushing attacks. Arguably, Taylor is the best dual threat quarterback in the league, as he lead the Hokies’ offense, who is 14th in the league for scoring. Starting in Week 2, Virginia Tech posted a dismal 0-2 ranking. Since then, they have peeled off 6 consecutive wins. Their offense is something to watch too. Taylor is also leading VT in the ACC with 171.1 passer rating.
As GT comes off of its bye week, they will be scrambling to contain Taylor and the Hokies. Most notably, they fell in Week 8 to Clemson (27-13), allowing 236 yards to be grabbed by the Tigers. Other notable losses this season include the Yellow Jackets against NC State (45-28) and North Carolina (30-24). The biggest concern for bettors should be the team’s noticeable lack of a passing game. With the loss of last season’s wide receiver, Demaryius Thomas, and QB, Josh Nesbitt, the team will be hard pressed to maintain their rep as last season’s 3.5 point underdogs.
The total for the game is 56 points across the board. It should be noted that VT is 6-2 O/U this season, as well.

Buffalo Bulls Vs. Ohio Bobcats
Thursday, November 4 - 7:30 PM
On Thursday, fans of the Bulls and the Bobcats are going to be treated to a showdown between the two teams at Peden Stadium. In their last game, the Bulls pulled off a spectacular loss to Miami (21-9) on October 30th. Furthermore, they failed to cover that game as the 2 point spread underdogs. The combined 30 point total of the game made it a gold mine for under bettors. For this season, the team’s stats are resting at 2-6 SU and 1-6 ATS. Also in their most recent stats, the team has gone 6-4 when playing in November, 4-6 when playing on turf, 2-8 after being outgained, and when playing within the conference are 4-6. In 6 of Buffalo’s last 8 games on the road, the total has gone over.
In their Week 9 game, the Ohio Bobcats fared quite well against Louisiana-Lafayette as the 38-31 winners at home. On the other hand, the team was unable to achieve their 17 point spread, even as the favorites. The combined score of the game (69) made it quite profitable to the over bettors of the game. Right now, the Bobcats’ rankings are holding at 6-3 SU and 5-3 ATS. In their most recent stats, the team has gone 7-3 when playing in November, 6-4 when playing on turf, 7-3 after being outgained, and 8-2 when playing within the conference. Bettors should take note that the total has gone over in 4 of the last 5 games that the Bobcats have played against the Buffalo Bulls.

Arkansas Razorbacks Vs. South Carolina Gamecocks
Saturday, November 6 - 7:00 PM
Over and over again, South Carolina has routinely showed that they are not the elite team they are touted to be. Already this season, they’ve lost at Auburn and Kentucky, and they were very nearly embarrassed by Tennessee on their home turf. Both teams are going to be gunning for a victory when they meet face to face at Williams-Brice Stadium on Saturday. Arkansas’s two losses this season have been to Auburn and to Alabama. Based on a comparison of the two teams’ QBs alone, the edge is given to the Razorbacks. Ryan Mallet, from Arkansas, is a pro prospect, while Stephen Garcia of the Gamecocks is simply biding his time until he’s turned over. It’s widely believed the Razorbacks will win the game outright.
Oddsmakers have the current odds set on the Gamecocks as the 4 point favorites over the Razorbacks. The game’s total is figured at 59 points. Interestingly, both teams have won their last two straight games, which should lead to an interesting showdown Saturday. Arkansas’s current is 6-2 SU and 5-2 ATS, while South Carolina is at 6-2 SU and 4-3 ATS. In 4 of the last 6 games where the Razorbacks and the Gamecocks have faced off with one another, the total points have gone over what was projected. Similarly, South Carolina has maintained 2-4 ATS in its last 6 games when playing at home against Arkansas.
